PSC2
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Psc2 combines the worlds of jazz, rock, classical music, and artificial intelligence via original compositions and arrangements.
the compositions are built around the interplay of jazz harmonies, complex rhythms and extensive improvisation; many of them are composed in the “long-form” compositional style of classical music.
the arrangements take well-known songs from pop, rock and jazz and re-build them in a manner similar to our original compositions. the arrangements include songs by michael jackson, guns n’ roses, silvio rodriguez, duke ellington and others.
psc is a senior software developer in research in google brain, and is experimenting with using machine learning models (including generative models for music) as part of the live performance. most of the code used will be available in this repo. Psc2 used to be psctrio with 3 human intelligences

ABOUT THE PROJECT
.... The bass clarinet can produce sounds of extreme diversity, but what is even more surprising is the ability of the instrumentalist to switch from one type of sound to another in a continuous and organic way. This power of transfiguration was the driving element of this creation. In response, electronic sounds and video are continually changing using interpolation and morphing techniques.
Verklärter Rohr is divided into 4 parts: Wandering - Introspection - Shivers & Trembling - Exaltation. Each explores a different poetry of this human-machine relationship through multiple sonic and visual states. The images are all phantasmagoria of the clarinet and develop a metaphor for it.
..

Description EN
The 23-minute work for bass clarinet and generative audiovisual device explores the dialogue between a sensitive and spontaneous human being, and its digital transfiguration via various software developed by Jullian Hoff. The system generates real-time electronic sounds and video in response to Charlotte Layec's game, which in turn reacts to the production of the digital device, creating a feedback loop between the human and the machine.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The MusicArcade is a sound art project based on the gamefication of a musical composition. It is an arcade controller that operates a musical universe of pre-recorded loops and sounds in unique ways. The player has limited control over the output of his actions and has to deal with several constraints proposed by the game rules. The outcome is an aleatoric collage of the present sounds, an ever changing never repeated, music machine.
