HACKLAB24
HACKLAB24 format
HACKLAB24 is a three-day co-creation laboratory taking place at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) from April 26th to 28th, 2024. This creative marathon (hackathon) brings together interdisciplinary teams that combine art and technology to design interactive digital creations.
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
THEME: SHOWCASING DIVERSITY THROUGH DIGITAL ARTS
MUSICMOTION and SAT are establishing an ecosystem that enables all artists, inclusively, to co-create and showcase diversity in abilities, including artists with disabilities and artists without disabilities.
HACKLAB welcomes a diversity of participants in the following fields: sound and visual arts, programming, design, engineering, performing arts, UX design, fabrication, etc.
PROTOTYPES & CREATION
At the end of the weekend, teams will present their works to the public and jury members. We encourage teams to develop their prototypes based on a problem related to diversity in digital arts.
Some examples of creations:
An interactive audiovisual piece.
A new instrument for sound or audiovisual creation.
A reactive sound sculpture.
An interactive light installation.
